Barb Belcher is the Supervising Paralegal for the Firm and also acts as Ian Maguire's Litigation Paralegal. Barb graduated summa cum laude with an Associate in Art Degree in Public Service Technology focusing in Paralegal studies from Horry Georgetown Technical College in December of 2003.
Barb joined Fennel & Maguire in May of 2003 following an internship at the South Carolina Court of Appeals. All paralegals studying at Horry Georgetown Technical College are required to complete a ninety-hour internship and Barb was graciously allowed to study with Chief Judge Kaye Hearn. Barb credits all her success in her career to the generous amount of attention she received from the Chief Judge. Although she learned many things from all the attorneys employed by the Court; the most important lesson she learned was that a determined woman can accomplish anything she desires - with a lot of hard work.
Barb is originally from St. Louis , Missouri and is a proud alumna of Cor Jesu Academy . Barb and her husband Shad moved to Myrtle Beach in 1997 and have enjoyed the beach community ever since.
