 Jill Fennel is licensed to practice law in the State of South Carolina and is the managing partner of Fennel & Maguire. Fennel & Maguire offers professional legal services in the areas of Social Security Disability, Personal Injury, Products Liability, Toxic Mold, Landlord Tenant Law, Nursing Home Negligence, Real Estate Litigation and Contract Disputes and is conveniently located in the new Paramount Building in Myrtle Beach across from Colonial Mall (formerly Briarcliffe Mall). After graduating from the Univ. of North Carolina , Chapel Hill, where she received a B.A. in Psychology and a B.A. in Political Science, Jill went on to complete her Juris Doctor degree at the University of South Carolina . Upon completing law school in 1999, Jill enjoyed the unique privilege of serving as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Paula H. Thomas in Georgetown , South Carolina .
Jill is heavily involved in the support of her community. In the past, she has served as an adjunct professor for the paralegal program at Horry Georgetown Technical College . She is a 2002 graduate of Leadership Grandstrand. For her commitment to volunteering legal services to organizations such as the Citizens Against Spouse Abuse and Rape Crisis Center, Jill was the 2002 recipient of the South Carolina Citizen Advocate of the Year for Victims of Violence. "I hold a special place in my heart for victim's issues. They are my passion." says Fennel.
Currently Jill is serving as a member of the Board of Directors for Habitat of Humanity of the Grand Strand and South Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. Jill has also served with her partner, Ian Maguire, as a coach for the Socastee High School Mock Trial Competition. Both years under her coaching guidance, the school won the district level and went on to compete at the state level!
